No one is More Merciful

Rijal al-Kashi: From Nasr bin Salih, from Ibn Abu Usman, from Muhammad bin al-Sabbah, from Zayd Al Shaham who said, ‘I entered to see Abu Abdullah [Imam al-Sadiq] (a.s.). He (a.s.) said to me: ‘O Zayd! Renew the repentance and start worshipping’. He (the narrator) said, ‘He (a.s.) said: ‘O Zayd! Whatever is with us (a.s.) is better for you, and you are from our (a.s.) Shias. To us (a.s.) is the Path [Sirat], and up to us (a.s.) is the Scale [Mizan], and up to us (a.s.) is the Reckoning [Hissab] of our (a.s.) Shias. By God! We (a.s.) shall be more merciful to you all than one of you is to himself! O Zayd! It is as if I (a.s.) am looking at you in your rank from the Paradise, and your friend in it is al-Hareth bin al-Mugheira Al-Nadhiri.’’ [Bihar al-Anwar, Volume 65, Page 114]

30 - رجال الكشي: عن نصر بن الصباح، عن ابن أبي عثمان، عن محمد بن الصباح عن زيد الشحام قال: دخلت على أبي عبد الله عليه السلام فقال لي: يا زيد! جدد التوبة وأحدث عبادة، قال: قلت: نعيت إلى نفسي، قال: فقال لي: يا زيد ما عندنا لك خير وأنت من شيعتنا، إلينا الصراط، وإلينا الميزان، وإلينا حساب شيعتنا، والله لأنا لكم أرحم من أحد كم بنفسه يا زيد كأني أنظر إليك في درجتك من الجنة و رفيقك فيها الحارث بن المغيرة النضري (2).
