God Does Not Forgive Disbelief in the Wilayah of Ali

149 - From Jabir, from Abu Ja'far (peace be upon him), he said: As for His saying: "Indeed, God does not forgive association with Him," (4:48) it means that He does not forgive those who disbelieve in the Guardianship [Wilayah] of Ali. And as for His saying, "but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills," it means for those who are loyal to Ali (peace be upon him). [Tafsir al-Ayyashi, Volume 1, Page 282]

149 - عن جابر عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام قال: اما قوله: " ان الله لا يغفر ان يشرك به " يعنى انه لا يغفر لمن يكفر بولاية على واما قوله " ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن
يشاء " يعنى لمن والى عليا عليه السلام.

 

Al-Hasan ibn Musa al-Khashshab, from Ali ibn Hassan, and Ahmad ibn al-Husayn, from Ahmad ibn Ibrahim, and al-Hasan ibn al-Bara', from Ali ibn Hassan, from Abdul Rahman ibn Kathir, said: I performed Hajj with Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him), and while I was with him on part of the journey, he ascended a mountain and looked at the people and said: "How much noise there is!" Then Dawood ibn Kathir al-Raqqi said to him: "O son of the Messenger of God, does God answer the prayers of the crowd that I see?" He said: "Woe to you, O Abu Sulayman, "indeed, God does not forgive association with Him" (4:48). Verily, the one who denies the Guardianship [Wilayah] of Ali (peace be upon him) is like an idol worshiper." So I said to him: "May I be your ransom, do you recognize your lovers from your enemies?" He said: "Woe to you, O Abu Sulayman, indeed, no servant is born except that it is written between his eyes 'believer' or 'disbeliever.' And a man comes to us who loves us and disavows our enemy, and it is seen written between his eyes 'believer.' God said: 'Indeed, in that are signs for those who discern,' (15:75) so we recognize our enemy from our friend." [al-Ikhtisas, Page 291]

الحسن بن موسى الخشاب، عن علي بن حسان، وأحمد بن الحسين، عن أحمد بن إبراهيم، والحسن بن البراء، عن علي بن حسان، عن عبد الرحمن بن كثير قال: حججت مع أبي عبد الله عليه السلام فإني معه في بعض الطريق إذ صعد على جبل فنظر إلى الناس فقال:

ما أكثر الضجيج؟! فقال له داود بن كثير الرقي: يا ابن رسول الله هل يستجيب الله دعاء الجمع الذي أرى؟ فقال: ويحك يا أبا سليمان إن الله لا يغفر أن يشرك به إن الجاحد لولاية علي عليه السلام كعابد وثن فقلت له: جعلت فداك هل تعرفون محبيكم من مبغضيكم؟ فقال:

ويحك يا أبا سليمان إنه ليس من عبد يولد إلا كتب بين عينيه مؤمن أو كافر وإن الرجل ليدخل إلينا يتولانا ويتبرء من عدونا فيرى مكتوبا " بين عينيه مؤمن، قال الله عز وجل:

" إن في ذلك لآيات للمتوسمين " فنحن نعرف عدونا من ولينا (2).
